He appeared to have been in the vehicle for several hours before first responders arrived, according to Quebec Provincial Police (SQ). Police said it is possible the boy died due to the heat. The vehicle was parked in an elderly person’s lot on Querbes Street. First responders received the call around 4:15 p.m. They tried to revive the toddler, who was then taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead. So far no arrests have been made and there are no signs of violence. The SQ Major Crime Unit was at the scene on Friday night to gather more information.
