The 2023 Lamborghini Urus Performante SUV has been revealed. As the name suggests, this Urus is more performance-oriented than the standard model. Lamborghini has launched the SUV in the US market with a price tag of $2,60,000. Its launch in India is yet to be confirmed and is expected to happen soon before the end of this year when the deliveries will also start. The Urus Performante gets the same 4.0-liter V8 engine also available with the standard version. However, the engine has been retuned to produce 16bhp more at 666bhp and 850Nm of torque. Transmission duties are still handled by the same 8-speed automatic transmission. Adding to these upgrades, Lamborghini’s Tamburo ride selector now gets a new ‘Rally Mode, in addition to the regular Strada, Sport and Corsa settings. It also equips a rear-biased center differential. and rides on special super sticky semi-slick Pirelli P Zero Trofeo R tyres, a first of its kind developed by Pirelli exclusively for performance SUVs such as this one. The Lamborghini Urus Performante gets a new forged lightweight carbon fiber hood with air scoop These mechanical upgrades are further complemented by aero body enhancements. This includes a new front grille design with larger gaps to draw in as much air as possible to cool the engine. The Urus Performante also gets a new carbon fiber hood with air scoops. At the rear, the Urus Performante features a new specially designed rear spoiler that increases downforce by 38%. Along with this, the rear bumper is all-new forged lightweight carbon as is the bonnet and also houses lightweight Akrapovic titanium sports exhaust pipes. These revisions front and rear have made the Urus Performante 1 inch longer than the standard model. The interior of the Urus Performante comes with Nero Cosmos Black Alcantara upholstery that has a new hexagonal stitch design as standard. There are also plenty of skin options, along with plenty of customization, thanks to Lamborghini’s Ad Personam program. Lamborghini Urus Performante Interior Last week, Lamborghini took the camouflage-wrapped Urus Performante to the Pikes Peak Hill Climb competition, where the SUV set the record for the fastest production SUV. However, since the Urus Performante had yet to be officially launched, the Bentley Bentayga continues to hold the official title of fastest production SUV on the climb.
