First team news
Dominic Solanke missed Bournemouth’s defeat by Manchester City with a foot injury but could return to action today after a late assessment. Midfielder Joe Rothwell and right-back Ryan Fredericks will both miss out. After a 10-minute Premier League baptism of fire from the bench against Manchester City, Argentine centre-back Marcos Senesi could make his full Bournemouth debut today. Arsenal are without winger Rhys Nelson, while Fabio Vieira is also a doubt, but it wouldn’t be a surprise to see Mikel Arteta pick the same starting line-up that faced Leicester last weekend. Premier League: Bournemouth – Arsenal
Having put behind them a nightmare start to last season with three consecutive defeats to open the current campaign with wins over Crystal Palace and Leicester, Arsenal will be hoping to make it three wins when they travel to the Vitality Stadium to face newly promoted Bournemouth. Uncharacteristically content and optimistic, Arsenal fans will be hoping their side win this game with the minimum of fuss, knowing full well that it’s exactly the kind of game they could trip over. Kick-off on the south coast is at 5.30pm. (GMT), but stay tuned in the meantime for team news and the build-up.
