A man undergoes surgery after being found injured in a field. The Sarnia Police Service (SPS) responded to the 900 block of Confederation Street after an emergency call just before 7 a.m. Saturday. Police said a 48-year-old man was found unconscious and critically injured in a grassy field. The injuries appear consistent with the man having been assaulted. The man was taken to a London hospital, where he was admitted for surgery. The investigation is ongoing and police are trying to identify any witnesses or suspects in the case.
