RCMP, Penobsquis Fire Department and New Brunswick Ambulance responded to the crash at approximately 9:15 p.m. of Friday. RCMP believe the crash happened when the SUV was traveling westbound in the eastbound lane and collided with the truck. The driver of the SUV was the sole occupant of his vehicle and died at the scene from his injuries. The truck driver was taken to hospital with minor injuries. The cause of the crash is being investigated.
